We had the best sundowner ever – with a view on the Momella Lakes, a gin tonic … and in the end the clouds moved away and allowed us to finally see « the snow on Kilimanjaro » !

Hatari is our last stop in Africa. Arusha is our last park in Africa. We truly saved the best until last. The Park, the Mountains (both of them), the lodge, the hosts, the staff, the food, the rooms and the other guests who joined us have made this the perfect ending to a wonderful trip for our whole family and to celebrate 40 years married. We are thankful for the opportunity to be here. Best wishes and hope for the future. Come see us in our parks as a guest.

Dear Hatari-team!
We had climbed Kilimanjaro, saw the coast and went on Safari but the last days in Tanzania were spent in this lovely place. We loved the service, the food and personal touch of Marlies and Joerg. We will never forgert to wake up with a giraffe next to the bedroom window, I wish I had that at home.

This lodge is breathtaking! Everything from the rooms, to the views, to the staff, to the service, to the setting and of course the extremely local wildlife! I am not sure I will ever experience a place as personal, welcoming and memorable as the Hatari Lodge. I hope we were as good of guests as you were hosts! I look forward to returning someday.

Dear Shumata team,
This is a unique place in the most amazing area of this globe. No matter which???????. one can see, the nature, the stars in the night , the peacefulness and friendliness of the Maasai and the friendship one can feel arriving at Shu'mata makes any distance and this hassle to come here a minor thing.
We have enjoyed every second. Our kids have learned about a way of living which I am ceratin will change some of their thoughts on living in Europe. We are grateful and owe you more than you can imagine.

Eight brave Norwegians came directly from the summit of Kilimanjaro to Shu'mata Camp, desperate for some luxury and pampering. We came to the right place! We have spent two wonderful days here and are now on our way to Hatari Lodge to celebrate the wedding of Johanne and Lars Gunnar.

Starting with a leopard & ending with cheetahs we spend here a heart opening time… We fall in love with this very special beauty of this landscape and the innocence of the people living and working here.

We visited already many places on this planet but we can't remember such a lovely team in such a lovely location.

Thank you so much for making our stay at Shumata such a wonderful experience. It was magical. The setting is spectacular and the "tents" are amazing. We loved the combination of rustic and native décor with modern convinience. Evenings around the campfire and the dinners under the stars. The highlight was our great animal tour – that memory will stay with us forever. Your gracious and warm hospitality made it all come together…
